Alcohol and Drug Clinician - Part Time

Port Macquarie

This position is an integral component of a capacity building service across the Hastings and Kempsey area that improves access and quality of early intervention drug and alcohol treatment services for young people aged 12-16 years.

  • Part Time Position - 30 hours per week
  • Kempsey & Port Macquarie Location, NSW

About the Role:

The AOD clinician works as part of an Integrated Services Team who ‘in reach' into designated high schools within the area and will work with young people who are at risk of being suspended from school as a result of their problematic AOD use.

About You:

Appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant field e.g. social work, youth work AOD related qualification and /or experience. Demonstrated experience providing AOD counselling. Experience working with young people. Deep knowledge of the AOD service sector. Well developed counselling, mediation, assessment and case management skills. Ability to work independently but also as a part of a team. Proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people both internal and external. Demonstrated computer literacy in Windows, Word, Email and Excel skills​.
